So this weekend was a pretty solid awesome one! Full of spontaneous events, delicious food, and good friends! The other day in class we had a discussion about food, how you should really take care of yourself, watch what ya eat, and do yourself some good. Because in reality eating healthy at home costs less than eating out all the time, even if it is off mcdonald’s dollar menu. True story! I’m not here to tell ya what to eat though, the main point I took away from the lecture was this though: eating can be a delightful experience where you eat to try new things and treat your palette. Eating does not have to just be a necessity where ya quickly gulp down your burger while running late to class and then wash it down with a coke or pepsi. So here it is, delicious food at The Bank with my best bud! which leads to this…
The random thought to bike to the Homeplace, a restaurant out on our favorite country roadside! Why random?! Because this place is 21+ miles out! And on a quiet hilly ride too if I may add! We decide to go for it even though the furthest I had personally ever biked was 12 miles, and for my buddy, not too sure but something roughly similar. So we wake up the next morning, buy some helmets, that’s right safety first, and we’re off! It was quiet the adventure! Every hill conquered taught me you really can do it if you commit. You just got to go.
